Hello my name is Dan Cooper and I am originally from the town of Follansbee in the northern panhandle of West Virginia. I am a 1985 graduate of the National Institute of Technology (AS) and a 2004 (AS) & 2005 (BA) graduate of West Virginia State University. After holding various positions at the Gateway Church such as Sunday School superintendent, Youth Sponsor, and Deacon, I was called to be an Elder of the church in the early 90s. September of 1997 I was called from the Eldership to the Ministry Staff to Minister in the area of Evangelism and Outreach. On January 1, 2003, I left a 17-year career as a Field Engineer with Kodak/Danka to join Gateway's Ministry Staff fulltime. Today, I continue to serve as the minister of outreach and evangelism that now includes the operation and management of Gateway's Christian Daycare center. My family includes my wife Karen and our two sons Drew (19) and Ben (6).
